Coi Leray has revealed details about a physical altercation with Brooklyn Nikole, which she stated occurred backstage during the promotion of Latto's 2023 track "Put It on da Floor." Leray discussed the incident on "The Jason Lee Show," explaining that the dispute was prompted by a lyric from her older sister, Latto.
According to Leray, the confrontation escalated into a fistfight. She reported that her knee was refractured during the altercation, though she emphasized the fight remained standing. Leray indicated that Nikole swung at her, but security intervened before any direct hits landed.
Leray mentioned that Latto's lyric, "Smokin' on that gas, blunt big as Coi Leray/ Bitches like to run they mouth, but I'm the type to run a fade," crossed a line. She felt Nikole was defending her sister. Leray also noted that Latto's daughter was born in the spring, and she hoped to start over with Latto.
During Coachella in 2023, Latto had appeared to downplay any animosity, stating, "Ay, Coi Leray, I love your body, baby." Coi Leray responded positively via Twitter at the time.
