Clementon Park and Splash World, a historic amusement park in Camden County, New Jersey, has announced its permanent closure after 119 years. The park revealed that the 2026 season will be its last, following its final day of operation on September 7th. The park's current owners, IB Parks & Entertainment, expressed hope to find a buyer who will preserve its legacy.
The 52-acre site, which includes both an amusement park and a water park, features numerous attractions. IB Parks & Entertainment acquired the property in 2021 through a foreclosure auction for $2.37 million. The park originally opened in 1907 and has a rich history, surviving a fire in 1931 and undergoing significant renovations, including the addition of the Splash World water park in 1993.
IB Parks & Entertainment also operates Indiana Beach Amusement & Water Park and Sahara Sam's, and recently announced plans to manage Lake Winnepesaukah. The company cited declining attendance and revenue as reasons for closure at another of its properties, Niagara Amusement Park & Splash World.
