In October 2025, Roadside Attractions has acquired the North American rights to the drama 'H Is for Hawk', which features a standout performance by Emmy, SAG and Golden Globe award winner Claire Foy. The film, which had its world premiere over Labor Day weekend at the Telluride Film Festival, will receive an awards-qualifying theatrical release in December to push Foy for recognition in this season's wide-open best actress race.
Directed by three-time BAFTA Award winner Philippa Lowthorpe and produced by the Oscar-winning Plan B Entertainment, 'H Is for Hawk' is an adaptation of the 2014 New York Times bestselling memoir of the same name by Helen Macdonald. In the film, Foy portrays Macdonald, an academic who unexpectedly loses her beloved father and finds renewed purpose through the ancient art of falconry.
Roadside Attractions co-presidents Howard Cohen and Eric d'Arbeloff praise Foy's "unprecedented combination of technical expertise and emotion" in the film, stating that it "does nothing short of changing the viewer's relationship to the natural world." Lowthorpe, the director, also expresses excitement about the partnership with Roadside Attractions to "fledge our film and let it fly."
