Chuggs Wallis: Why I Said No to Casa Amor
19 Feb
Summary
- Chuggs Wallis appeared on Love Island twice, in 2021 and again last year.
- He rejected an offer to return for Casa Amor after his first brief stint.
- He is open to appearing on Love Island USA but not the UK version again.

Chuggs Wallis, a familiar face from Made in Chelsea, has revealed insights into his two separate appearances on the ITV dating show Love Island. His first time in the villa in 2021 was brief, lasting only two days. Wallis disclosed that producers offered him a chance to return for the Casa Amor segment shortly after, an offer he vehemently refused at the time.
Reflecting on his initial experience at 23, Wallis explained the intensity of the show's schedule disrupted his body clock, leading to pressure to perform. He felt the environment was not conducive to genuine connection and was eager to leave. This changed for the Love Island All Stars series, where he felt he could finally 'scratch the Love Island itch' and truly grasp the show's format.
Although still single, Wallis has declared his Love Island journey on the UK version is complete. He believes his personality isn't ideally suited for the show's competitive nature. However, he expressed interest in Love Island USA, valuing the connections and personal growth he gained from the experience, which broadened his perspective and led to lasting friendships.
