Nolan elaborated that comedy, especially within a rom-com framework, offers little room for hiding perceived artistic shortcomings. He finds the risk involved in making people laugh significantly higher than in other genres he typically explores. His focus remains on his upcoming film, 'The Odyssey,' slated for release on July 17, 2026.

Separately, Nolan recounted a near-disaster involving the raw footage for 'The Odyssey.' Airport customs agents nearly exposed sensitive film canisters to direct light, risking irreversible damage to the film stock in an unconditioned environment. The film, starring prominent actors, is based on Homer's epic poem and has already generated significant anticipation.
