German-Born Muse of Samuel Fuller Dies at 82

Christa Lang, an actress, screenwriter, and muse to her late husband, filmmaker Samuel Fuller, died on January 30 in Los Angeles at the age of 82. Lang's career began in Paris after she moved there from Germany at 17, where she worked as a model and aspiring actress.
Her early acting career included a role in Jean-Luc Godard's 1965 film "Alphaville." She later relocated to the U.S. with Samuel Fuller, whom she married in 1967. Lang appeared in many of Fuller's films, including "The Big Red One."
Beyond acting, Lang was a producer and co-founder of Chrisam Films with Fuller. Following Fuller's death in 1997, she dedicated herself to editing and publishing his autobiography, "A Third Face."
Lang also produced "A Fuller Life," a documentary about her husband, and her final on-screen appearance was filmed in 2025 for a documentary about Fuller's last feature.
