Megastar Chiranjeevi's upcoming film with director Srikanth Odela, initially slated for a 2024 release, is experiencing significant delays. Nani, who is serving as the presenter and producer for this project, recently disclosed that the extended production schedule of the film 'The Paradise' has directly impacted the planned commencement of Chiranjeevi's movie.
Ideally, Chiranjeevi's film should have neared completion by now, but the protracted shoot of 'The Paradise' necessitated a timeline adjustment. Consequently, Chiranjeevi has moved on to complete other film projects. Nani indicated that discussions about the future of the Chiranjeevi-Srikanth Odela collaboration have not yet taken place.
The film was officially announced in December 2024, generating considerable excitement as it marked a significant collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Odela, the director of Nani's debut 'Dasara.' An intense poster featuring a bloodied hand accompanied the announcement, positioning the project as Chiranjeevi's "most violent film."
Nani had previously expressed his belief that the script was perfectly suited for Chiranjeevi, having been impressed by Odela's narration. Chiranjeevi himself also approved of the story, agreeing to star in the film. However, the extensive production requirements of 'The Paradise,' which reunited Nani and Odela, pushed its release to September 24, 2026, and subsequently delayed other projects.
'The Paradise' ultimately received mixed reviews but achieved a worldwide gross of Rs 169.15 crore. Odela had previously acknowledged his own planning as a factor in the extended shoot, emphasizing his desire for meticulous scene execution.
