China Shines at Asian Academy Creative Awards

China emerged as a dominant force at the recent Asian Academy Creative Awards, clinching the coveted best feature film award for "MuMu" and the best drama series award for "Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty: To The West." The latter's victory was particularly nail-biting, narrowly surpassing a strong South Korean contender.

The ceremony in Singapore marked a significant milestone with nine-year-old Ivory Chia becoming the youngest recipient in AACA history, earning best actress in a supporting role. Netflix also had a triumphant evening, with "The Queen of Villains" securing best actress for Yuriyan Retriever and best direction (fiction) for Kazuya Shiraishi.

Overall, Japan and Singapore showcased strong performances, each collecting six awards. The competition highlighted the diverse talent across the region, with numerous countries, including Korea, India, and Hong Kong SAR, earning multiple accolades across 40 categories.
