Director Chidambaram Clarifies Mohanlal Project Speculation

Director Chidambaram has addressed persistent rumors linking him to a potential film project starring Mohanlal. He clarified in a recent interview that while he harbors a strong desire to collaborate with the acclaimed actor in the future, no such project is currently in development, nor have any formal discussions taken place. The speculation apparently arose from a social media post by Chidambaram's father.

Chidambaram emphasized that his interactions with Mohanlal have been limited to meetings, stating he has had conversations with Mammootty but not Mohanlal. When considering collaborations with these iconic actors, Chidambaram prioritizes the story, aiming to highlight their acting prowess rather than their star status. He believes both actors possess remarkable versatility and can embody any character.

For Mohanlal, Chidambaram feels a film must create a 'massive impact,' including signature elements like twirling a mustache, to meet fan expectations. He also expressed a desire to make a revenge thriller with Mammootty. The director praised both superstars, noting that they are currently in a very strong phase of their careers. Chidambaram's next directorial venture, 'Balan,' is slated for release on June 19th.
