A bespoke Monopoly board game celebrating the city of Chichester has been officially launched. This unique edition prominently features well-known Chichester landmarks, including the historic Chichester Cathedral and the renowned Festival Theatre. It also incorporates popular nearby seaside locations such as the Witterings, offering players a taste of the local area.
The development of this Monopoly game began last June after Chichester won a competition against other cathedral cities. Partnership manager John Keen-Tomlinson noted the strong civic pride and community involvement from Chichester residents. Over 30 local landmarks, organizations, and institutions, such as the City Walls, Market Cross, and the University of Chichester, are represented on the game board. Even the traditional train stations have been updated to reflect local transport, including Chichester's train station and the Itchenor Ferry at Chichester Harbour.
