As of September 29th, 2025, acclaimed chef Kwame Onwuachi has signed a deal with Hollywood agency WME for representation in all areas. Under this new partnership, WME will be working with Onwuachi to adapt his memoir, "Notes From A Young Black Chef," into a previously announced feature film starring Lakeith Stanfield and produced by A24.
In addition to the film adaptation, WME will be supporting Onwuachi's continued expansion of his work in both scripted and non-scripted film and television projects. Onwuachi is best known for his acclaimed restaurants Tatiana at Lincoln Center and Dōgon in D.C., which have earned him numerous accolades, including being named to Time's 100 Most Influential People list.
Onwuachi's career highlights also include hosting the James Beard Awards, curating the menu for the 2025 Met Gala, and appearing as talent and judge on top culinary TV programming. Most recently, he has launched new restaurant concepts like Patty Palace at Citi Field and Lincoln Center's Summer in the City, with more openings planned for later this year.
