Cheetah Girls Roar Back: New Movie Coming!

A new installment in "The Cheetah Girls" franchise, titled "The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen," is officially in development at Disney Channel and Disney+. Raven-Symoné and Adrienne Bailon are set to return as Galleria Garibaldi and Chanel, respectively. Sabrina Bryan will also make a special appearance as Dorinda.
Leah Sava' Jeffries, known for her role in "Percy Jackson and the Olympians," will star as Faith, Galleria's daughter. The plot sees Galleria and Chanel, along with Faith and her friends, journeying to Africa to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary. Carmen Sanchez, Kaileen Chang, Sophie Lennon, and Kamogelo Ramashala round out the new cast.
During their time in Africa, the four young protagonists will test their friendships, discover their true voices, and embrace the Cheetah spirit. Their mission is to save the wildlife preserve and subsequently perform as the next generation of Cheetah Girls. Lynn Whitfield and Lori Alter will reprise their roles as the girls' mothers.
Executive producers Debra Martin Chase and Raven-Symoné, alongside director Bille Woodruff and writers Kara Holden, Sarah Watson, and Deborah Swisher, are leading the production. This film builds on the legacy of Deborah Gregory's book series, with production commencing later this month. An exact release date is currently unknown.
