A24 Casts Star Wars Star in Fantasy Comedy 'Goblin'

Chase Sui Wonders, who recently lent her voice to Star Wars: Visions Presents - The Ninth Jedi, is reportedly in discussions to join A24's upcoming fantasy comedy, 'Goblin.' The film is being written and directed by David Mikalson and already has a notable cast, including Kenneth Branagh, Skyler Gisondo, and Will Forte. Branagh has been confirmed to voice the main goblin character.

Wonders, also recognized for her roles in Apple TV+'s 'The Studio' and the upcoming 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' reboot, expressed her admiration for risqué comedies in a past interview. She cited 'Pineapple Express' as a formative film and called 'This Is the End' the last great American comedy. The premise of 'Goblin' appears to be a strong match for her comedic sensibilities.

While plot specifics for 'Goblin' are being kept under wraps, the addition of Wonders would further bolster the film's ensemble. This development comes as Branagh and Gisondo have recent appearances in other projects, and Forte recently led the cast of 'Coyote vs. Acme.' 'Goblin' does not yet have an announced release date.
