Actress Chase Infiniti will be honored with the Breakthrough Award at the IndieWire Honors Winter 2025 ceremony on December 4th, celebrating her remarkable year in film. Her feature debut, 'One Battle After Another,' directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, has garnered significant critical acclaim and is considered a strong contender for an Academy Award.
Infiniti's journey to stardom took an unexpected turn when the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted her theater studies at Columbia College Chicago. This period of remote learning prompted her to explore on-camera acting, leading her to take on roles in television and eventually land her breakout film performance. She learned the craft by observing various departments on set, demonstrating a strong work ethic.
Her audition for 'One Battle After Another' involved a challenging self-tape and multiple callbacks, culminating in a reading with industry heavyweights like Leonardo DiCaprio and Regina Hall. Infiniti's poise and dedication to embodying her character, Willa, have been widely recognized, marking her as a significant new talent in the film industry.
