Six months after his last release, Charley Crockett is concluding his "Sagebrush Trilogy" with "Age of the Ram," due April 3. Produced by Shooter Jennings at Sunset Sound Studio, this final LP follows "Lonesome Drifter" (March 2025) and the Grammy-nominated "Dollar a Day" (August 2025).
The trilogy weaves Western imagery and survival narratives with Crockett's insights into country music and industry pressures. "Age of the Ram" introduces Billy McLane, a cattle rustler who becomes a legend after escaping bounty hunters in the "crazy mountains."
Crockett's recent single, "Kentucky Too Long," reflects on stagnation and defiance, referencing Vietnam and Uncle Sam. The artist has also been vocal on social media, critiquing political figures and industry figures.
Crockett has an extensive tour scheduled for 2026, including dates in the Pacific Northwest, Canada, and the East Coast. A documentary about him, "A Cowboy in London," premiered in February at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.
