Chanel West Coast Blazes New Trail in Country Music

Chanel West Coast, formerly a star on MTV's Ridiculousness, officially ventured into country music in 2025. She shared in an exclusive interview during the MTV VMAs in 2026 that her commitment to the genre runs deep. West Coast stated her ambition to be a prominent female voice representing the West Coast in country music, a niche she feels is currently unfilled. She emphasized her goal to embody the essence of 'Wild West outlaws.'

This new musical direction has proven to be a significant success for Chanel West Coast, whose real name is Chelsea Chanel Dudley. She noted that the transition has been incredibly well-received by both her long-time television fans and the country music community. The artist described the growth of her country music career as an "overnight type of thing." Her earlier single, "Giddy Up," also showcased her versatility and unwillingness to be confined to a single musical style.
