The film, produced by Dharma Productions, is now scheduled to premiere on May 22, a shift from its initial April 10 release date. The makers confirmed this update on social media.

Directed by Vivek Soni, known for "Meenakshi Sundareshwar," Chand Mera Dil marks the first on-screen collaboration between Ananya Panday and Lakshya. The film is described as a youthful romantic story focusing on an intense relationship, with Karan Johar having previously shared first-look posters highlighting the lead pair against a moonlit backdrop.

This project represents Lakshya's second theatrical release, following "Kill," and his notable performance in Aryan Khan's directorial debut series, "The Ba***ds of Bollywood." For Ananya Panday, "Chand Mera Dil" follows her appearance in "Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri." The film's new May 22 release positions it as her next major romantic cinematic venture.
