In just a few weeks, on December 13, 2025, rising star Josh O'Connor will take the stage as the host of the iconic 'Saturday Night Live.' The 'Challengers' actor admits he has mixed feelings about the prestigious gig, calling it both the "coolest and biggest honor" while also confessing he's "shitting himself" with nerves.
To prepare for his 'SNL' debut, O'Connor has reached out to past hosts like Paul Mescal and Josh Brolin for advice. However, he's found their guidance to be less than helpful. Mescal started off encouraging but then "forgot the brief" and ended up telling O'Connor to just "have a panic attack." As for Brolin, who has hosted 'SNL' three times, O'Connor says he's been "kind of useless in different ways."
Despite the lack of useful tips, O'Connor remains excited for the opportunity. He'll be joined on the December 13th episode by musical guest Lily Allen. In the meantime, O'Connor is also gearing up for the release of his latest project, the 'Knives Out' mystery 'Wake Up Dead Man,' in which he stars alongside Brolin. The film follows the debonair detective Benoit Blanc as he investigates a murder within a church community.
