The Living Legends Foundation, Inc. is set to host its 35th anniversary awards dinner and gala on October 2 at Flourish by Legendary in Atlanta. Music legend Chaka Khan will serve as the Honorary Ambassador, marking a full-circle moment as she was a recipient of the foundation's honors in 1992. Grammy winner Q Parker of 112 will be the Honorary Gala Chair, expressing his honor to support an organization that recognizes behind-the-scenes industry professionals.
This milestone year's gala will celebrate excellence and longevity in Black music. Among the distinguished honorees for 2026 are BET president Louis Carr, who will receive the Ray Harris Lifetime Achievement Award. Additional honorees include Juliette Jones, COO of Alamo Records; the Black Promoters Collective; and Phylicia Fant, Amazon Music's global head of music industry and culture collaborations.
In parallel, both Chaka Khan and Q Parker are actively engaged in new music projects. Khan is set to release her first studio album in seven years, "Chakzilla," on September 18, featuring collaborations with Sia, Snoop Dogg, and Lenny Kravitz. Parker's upcoming album, "Evolution of Romance, Volume Two," is slated for release this fall.
