The narrative of 'Get Lite' revolves around a gifted but sheltered dance student who discovers inspiration, love, and a sense of family amidst the vibrant subways of New York City. Central to the story is Litefeet, a dynamic dance style that originated in Harlem. Wright is slated to portray the student caught between different worlds, while Reid will play the character who broadens his horizons.
This film opportunity sees Wright temporarily stepping away from his football career. He was previously recognized for his role as LeBron James' son in 'Space Jam: A New Legacy' and had a recurring part in 'Grown-ish.' On the football field, Wright played at USC and the University of Nebraska before joining the Bengals as an undrafted free agent in spring 2026.
'Get Lite' is scheduled for release on August 20, 2027. The project is produced by Kenya Barris and Anni Weisband, alongside Robyn Simpson and Bill Karesh. Taylor is also producing with her partner Courtney "Coco" Gilbert under their banner, The Aunties.
