On the September 26th, 2025 episode of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, host Ryan Seacrest found himself having to lay down the law with contestant Derek Hough. During commercial breaks, Hough was spotted jumping on the center of the show's famous wheel and having fellow contestant Bruno Tonioli spin it, treating it like a "cake ornament."
Seacrest quickly intervened, telling Hough and the rest of the contestants, "Please don't do that. That would break it, and there's only one of those wheels. If that breaks, we have a real problem." The Wheel of Fortune team had to prevent Hough, who is the brother of Seacrest's ex-girlfriend Julianne Hough, from going any further with his antics.
"We had to sort of say, 'Stick to the ledge,'" Seacrest recalled, noting that the Celebrity Wheel of Fortune guests can be "very physical, and that makes for fun." Despite the host's warnings, Hough ultimately emerged victorious in the episode, earning $63,350 for Feeding America.
