Summary
- The Traitors castle hosts 21 new celebrities for a game of deception.
- Comedians like Joe Lycett and James Acaster are top contenders.
- The new season of Celebrity Traitors premieres next week.
The popular reality series, Celebrity Traitors, is returning next week with 21 new celebrity contestants entering the notorious castle. Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the show will once again pit "faithful" contestants against hidden "traitors" who aim to eliminate others through secret murders each night. The previous season delivered a memorable BAFTA moment with Alan Carr's unexpected victory.
This year's cast includes several comedians, with Joe Lycett and James Acaster being highlighted as potential key players. Their skills in reading a room and misdirection, similar to last season's winner, could make them compelling traitors or astute faithfuls. Other notable contestants include Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckett, Miranda Hart, and Joanne McNally, each bringing their unique comedic styles and public personas to the game.
The roster also features prominent figures from film and broadcasting, such as Michael Sheen and Richard E. Grant, alongside television personalities Maya Jama and Amol Rajan. The show's format, known for its high stakes and psychological drama, promises to test the contestants' trust and strategic abilities. The new season of Celebrity Traitors premieres on Thursday, October 1st.
