Summary
- Mark Seed allegedly owes over $658,000 for celebrity events.
- A default judgment was entered against Seed in May 2026.
- Seed cited stress from high-profile jobs as reason for delay.

Mark Seed, a party planner reportedly linked to Taylor Swift's wedding, has been sued by Buttermilk Creative Inc. for outstanding debts totaling over $658,000. The legal action stems from unpaid bills for three high-profile events, including parties for actors Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, and for billionaire Jeff Bezos.
The majority of the debt originates from a 2021 event for Joe Gebbia, a designer and Airbnb co-founder. Buttermilk Creative Inc. also sought unpaid rental fees, décor, and location costs for events organized by Kutcher and Kunis.
Seed also delayed payments for services at Bezos' "Return to Planet Earth Party" in 2021. Although an initial payment of $50,000 was made, the remaining $175,000 was only settled on May 23, 2022.
Buttermilk Creative Inc. filed a lawsuit in June 2025, demanding $476,924. After Seed failed to respond, a default judgment was entered in May 2026, increasing the total debt to $658,732.15 with interest and fees.
In a June 2024 email, Seed attributed his financial struggles to the stress of his high-profile job, which has included organizing Jennifer Lawrence's 2019 wedding. He acknowledged the financial issues weighed heavily on him.
