- Funds raised will enhance the school's playground.
- Artworks are available via auction and in person.

A vibrant art exhibition at St Barnabas C of E Primary School in Oxford is set to captivate visitors with bird-inspired artworks. This event showcases creations by children, local artists, and notable public figures, including Dame Joanna Lumley, Bill Bailey, and Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park.
Headteacher Beccy Harris stated the theme reflects the school's vision for children to 'soar on wings like eagles.' The exhibition, running on 16-17 and 23-25 May, is a key part of Oxford Art Weeks. Funds generated will support crucial projects, such as improving the school's adventure playground and restoring community green spaces.
Charlie Arbuthnott, the school's chair of governors, initiated the celebrity involvement by sending art supplies to various public figures. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with early contributions including a piece from Dame Prue Leith. The artworks are available for purchase in person and through an online auction, offering unique keepsakes.
Complementing the art display, historian Mark Davies will deliver talks on how Jericho and Oxford have inspired renowned artists. The school hopes the event will not only support fundraising but also showcase the community's spirit and inspire visitors.
