Couple Denies Trick-or-Treaters Access to Their Bathroom on Halloween

In the lead-up to Halloween 2025, celebrity couple Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa have been reminiscing about some of their past experiences with trick-or-treaters at their New York City home. During an episode of their talk show Live with Kelly and Mark, Consuelos, 54, recalled an unusual request he and Ripa, 55, once received from a parent taking his kids trick-or-treating.

The stranger had approached the couple's home and asked if he could use their bathroom, to which Consuelos and Ripa both firmly denied access. Ripa, known for being more open to such requests, agreed with her husband's "access denied" stance in this case. The couple found the situation quite humorous, with Consuelos noting that the parent had the audacity to step forward, as if expecting them to say yes.

In addition to this anecdote, Ripa also shared her strategy for dealing with picky trick-or-treaters this year. She explained that while they give out generous amounts of full-size candy, some visitors have not been satisfied with the selection in the past. To avoid any complaints, Ripa plans to pre-package the candy in opaque bags so the recipients won't know what they're getting until they leave.

Ripa and Consuelos are known for going all-out with their Halloween decorations and celebrations at their home, often documenting the crowds that flock to their doorstep on the spooky holiday. In 2023, they even had their eldest son, Michael, 28, help hand out candy while dressed as the iconic slasher Michael Myers.
