Independent Artist Group (IAG) has announced a new representation deal with actor and comedian Cedric the Entertainer. The agreement extends to Cedric's production company, A Bird And A Bear Entertainment, which he co-owns with Eric Rhone and has a first-look deal with CBS.
Cedric the Entertainer's career spans three decades, including his iconic status as one of the Original Kings of Comedy. He is currently starring in the Broadway revival of August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone. His recent voice role in Netflix's Swapped achieved significant viewership.
Previously, Cedric starred in and executive produced the hit CBS comedy The Neighborhood, earning two NAACP Image Awards. His extensive credits also include the Barbershop and Madagascar film franchises, and he co-created and executive produced The Soul Man. In 2023, he released his first novel, Flipping Boxcars.
IAG CEO Jim Osborne stated that Cedric is a "generational talent" whose impact is "truly remarkable." The agency looks forward to supporting the next chapter of his diverse career, which also includes ongoing representation by Eric Rhone and Gordon Bobb.
