Summary
- Performers at Casa Bonita are on strike seeking a contract and pay increase.
- The strike ended with an agreement to bring in a mediator for negotiations.
- Matt Stone and Trey Parker purchased the restaurant in 2021 and invested millions.

Performers at Casa Bonita, the restaurant revived by "South Park" creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, have recently concluded a three-day strike. The staff, including cliff divers and entertainers, voted to unionize with Actors' Equity Association, citing unsafe conditions and stalled contract negotiations.
The strike ended when management agreed to bring in a mediator to facilitate discussions. However, the union continues to push for resolutions, including pay raises and benefits for approximately 60 performers. The Actors' Equity Association has criticized Stone and Parker, accusing them of hypocrisy for not addressing the performers' concerns promptly.
Stone and Parker acquired the Lakewood, Colorado, eatery in 2021, investing over $40 million to address its disrepair. The restaurant, a beloved childhood spot for the creators and featured in "South Park," has since undergone significant renovations, becoming a unique destination for fans.
