The two stars first crossed paths in the late 1950s and have remained close ever since, with Van Dyke making appearances on Burnett's hit TV show, The Carol Burnett Show, during its 11-season run from 1967 to 1978.
In a recent interview, the 92-year-old Burnett opened up about what she loves most about her former Garry Moore Show co-star, who is set to turn 100 years old in December 2025. "His kindness and his...the way he moves. I mean, he's very brilliant as a comedian, and he can do stunts and do all kinds of things, but also he's a very good dramatic actor," Burnett shared.
Burnett, who has been honored with six Emmys, six Golden Globes, a Grammy, and a Kennedy Center honor over the course of her illustrious career, also highlighted one of Van Dyke's most acclaimed performances, saying, "Do you remember the one he did - I think it was called The Morning After -- and it was one of the greatest performances I've ever seen."
