Colombian superstar Carlos Vives delivered a powerful performance at the 2025 Coca-Cola Flow Fest in Mexico City, offering an unexpected tribute to the iconic Mexican ranchera artist José Alfredo Jiménez. Vives' heartfelt a cappella rendition of "Para Morir Iguales" earned him a standing ovation from the 79,000 fans gathered at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez on Saturday.
The acclaimed artist also performed fan favorites, including his chart-topping hit "La Bicicleta" with Shakira. Adding to the excitement, Vives reappeared later in the evening to join Puerto Rican artist Wisin on stage for "Nota de Amor," a popular vallenato and reggaeton fusion.
The Coca-Cola Flow Fest, recognized as a premier Latin urban music event, featured a star-studded lineup across its five stages, including performances by Don Omar, Myke Towers, and Nicky Jam. The festival continued on Sunday with more major artists.
