On November 12th, 2025, a 19-year-old hooligan named Tommy finds himself in a harrowing situation. After a night of drugs, parties, and violence with his reckless friends, Tommy becomes separated from the group and is abducted by an unknown figure, played by actor Stephen Graham.
Tommy, who is no stranger to inflicting violence himself, wakes up chained in the basement of an isolated suburban family home. There, he is confronted by the family living there - Chris, his near-spectral wife Kathryn (played by Andrea Riseborough), and their young son Jonathan. The family has set out to reform Tommy's unruly behavior, forcing him to comply with their relentless mind games or seek escape at any cost.
The film, titled "Good Boy," is the English-language debut of Polish filmmaker Jan Komasa. Produced by a team including Jeremy Thomas and Ewa Piaskowska, the movie has already generated buzz, with Anson Boon's performance as Tommy winning him the Best Actor award at the Rome Film Festival.
