In a heartwarming turn of events, David Brooks, the 28-year-old Wales and Bournemouth attacker, has welcomed his first child with wife Flora. The couple's baby girl was born on October 27, 2025, just over four years after Brooks' shocking cancer diagnosis.
Brooks had previously revealed that the possibility of becoming a parent was in doubt when he was battling stage 2 Hodgkin lymphoma in 2021. However, the footballer has now shared his joy at the arrival of his daughter, Lottie Elizabeth Brooks, stating that he is "really looking forward to it" and that he and his wife are "delighted" despite the challenges they faced.
The news comes as a testament to Brooks' resilience and determination. After undergoing regular chemotherapy that left him "barely able to get out of bed," he received the incredible news that he had been given the all-clear in May 2022. Since then, he has returned to playing regularly in the Premier League, and is now hopeful of representing Wales at the 2026 World Cup under the guidance of Craig Bellamy.
