Camila Mendes' 'Upgraded' Sequel Gears Up for Production

Camila Mendes' popular romantic comedy 'Upgraded' is set to receive a sequel, officially announced as 'Upgraded 2.' Becca Gleason, known for directing 'Summer '03,' has been tapped to direct the upcoming film. The original screenwriters, Luke Roberts and Justin Matthews, are returning to pen the script for the sequel.

Production for 'Upgraded 2' is scheduled to commence this month in Italy, with a worldwide release planned for Prime Video. The original film, released in 2024, was a modern take on the Cinderella story, starring Mendes as an ambitious intern who meets a charming man after being upgraded to first class.

Mendes recently starred in 'Masters of the Universe' and has other upcoming projects including the sports drama 'Baton' and the action thriller 'Viva La Madness.' 'Upgraded 2' will be produced by Gulfstream Pictures and Honor Role, with Mendes herself serving as a producer.
