Family Terrorized by Witch's Past in New Film

Saban Films has acquired the North American distribution rights to the new horror film, "The Caged." This chilling movie, inspired by true events, centers on a family who relocates to a picturesque cottage in an English coastal town, only to find their new home haunted by a dark presence.

Further investigation into the property's history reveals a disturbing truth: their idyllic cottage stands on the grounds of a medieval prison. This prison was once used to confine individuals accused of witchcraft, including a notorious witch executed in 1582. The film promises to be a terrifying exploration of how historical darkness can manifest in the present.

Directed and written by Jeffrey Scott Collins, "The Caged" stars Tamzin Merchant, Edmund Kingsley, Raffiella Chapman, and Callen Carter. Collins described the film as being grounded in reality, delving into complex family dynamics tested under extreme pressure. He aims to terrify audiences both physically and psychologically with this deeply layered story.
