A unique horror-comedy titled "Buzzkill" is set to terrify audiences, featuring a monstrous antagonist that can only be perceived by those under the influence of alcohol. The film's narrative centers on Sheriff Red, portrayed by Billy Magnussen, a grieving and alcoholic lawman who finds himself investigating a series of brutal murders within his town.
As the annual brewery festival approaches, a weekend notorious for heavy drinking, the town becomes a hunting ground for the unseen creature. Sheriff Red must battle his own inner struggles while racing against time to protect his community from the terrifying, invisible threat. Lulu Wilson joins the cast as Lydia, Red's determined sister.
Directed by Joe Lynch, "Buzzkill" is scheduled to commence production in Texas in early 2026. Bleecker Street has acquired the domestic distribution rights, with a nationwide theatrical release planned for 2027, promising a blood-soaked cinematic party for genre fans.
