Aldrin, now 95 years old, expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of his beloved wife. "I am so fortunate to have found and married the love of my life," he said. "She brought joy to everything we did together. I will miss her dearly."

Her family praised her career and requested privacy during this time of mourning.
Faur and Aldrin's marriage was a relatively recent one, as they had tied the knot less than three years ago, in January 2023, on Aldrin's 93rd birthday. The couple met in December 2017, following Aldrin's divorce from his previous wife, Lois Driggs Cannon. Aldrin and Faur began dating in May 2018 and quickly realized they were soulmates, leading to their decision to get married.
