The Busan Story Market (BSM), an integral part of the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), has announced its 25 official selections for 2026. These selections draw from original intellectual property across Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and Indonesia. Among the notable Korean selections are works by acclaimed authors Hwang Bo-reum and Lee Geum-yi. BSM operates as a vital international marketplace, facilitating connections between film and audiovisual adaptation platforms and IP holders globally. The official selections will participate in pitching sessions and business meetings designed to secure secondary rights deals and adaptation collaborations. This year's selections from Taiwan and Japan, as well as Indonesia, were chosen through partnerships with their respective creative content agencies.
ACFM, the official market of BIFF, will be held in Busan from October 10-13, 2026. The 2025 edition attracted professionals from 55 countries and generated significant business transactions, indicating the growing importance of such markets in the global content industry. The 31st Busan International Film Festival is scheduled for October 6-15, 2026.
