Summary
- Zoe Kravitz and Lisa Bonet stayed at Taylor Swift's home during California wildfires
- Bonet's pet Burmese python slithered into Swift's bathroom wall
- Bonet and Swift's staff had to destroy the bathroom to retrieve the snake

Nearly two months ago, in August 2025, pop star Taylor Swift, 35, found herself in the middle of a peculiar situation at her home. After Zoe Kravitz, 36, and her mother Lisa Bonet, 57, had evacuated to Swift's property during the California wildfires earlier that year, a surprising incident occurred.
Kravitz's pet Burmese python, named Orpheus, had slithered into a small hole in Swift's bathroom. In a successful effort to retrieve the snake, Bonet grabbed Orpheus' tail while Swift's house manager used a crowbar to "destroy" the bathroom.
When Swift later appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers, she recounted the incident, describing it as "the chicest thing" she had ever heard. Despite the damage to her custom vintage cupboard, the pop star found the situation incredibly amusing and was not immediately upset with Kravitz about the incident.
In fact, Swift revealed that she had kept a "little countdown" on her phone, waiting for Kravitz to confess about the snake and the bathroom damage. When Kravitz finally did, three weeks later, Swift was already laughing about the ordeal.
