Bugs Bassist Jordan Brunoli Faces Final Days

Australian musician Jordan Brunoli, the bassist for the band Bugs, has shared a difficult health update. Diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer in June, Brunoli announced on social media that he is entering the final chapter of his life. He explained that despite over a year of various chemotherapy treatments, a mutation has caused his tumors to spread rapidly and uncontrollably.

Brunoli, aged 29, shared a selfie from his hospital bed, detailing his ongoing battle and expressing gratitude to his oncologist and treatment team. He noted that his initial prognosis was three to four months. This update comes as Bugs prepares to release their fourth studio album, 'Head Noise,' on August 28, 2026, preceded by the single 'Tough Love.'

The band also has album launch shows scheduled for September 10 and 12, 2026, in their hometown of Brisbane. Brunoli conveyed his deep appreciation for his bandmates, Connor Brooker and Brock Weston, for their support in fulfilling his wish to release new music. He confirmed his intention to perform at the upcoming September shows, despite his health challenges.
