McDonald's is launching a new Happy Meal promotion featuring the beloved BT21 characters created by the K-pop group BTS. This exciting collaboration will be available at participating McDonald's locations starting July 14, offering customers one of ten collectible BT21 toys with every Happy Meal purchased. These characters, developed in 2017 with Line Friends, reflect the unique personalities of the BTS members.
Each of the seven BTS members has a corresponding BT21 character, plus an eighth character named Van representing the BTS fanbase. The toys are designed to be portable, featuring ring clips for easy attachment to bags or keychains. This marks the third collaboration between McDonald's and BTS, following previous successful Happy Meal campaigns in September 2025 and 2021.
Beyond the physical toys, the Happy Meal boxes contain a QR code that unlocks an interactive digital experience, immersing fans in the BT21 musical universe. The promotion coincides with BTS's recent album release and their ongoing tour, which began in May 2026. Fans can also enjoy a live-streamed concert from Seoul available on Netflix.
