Bruce Springsteen recently shared hopeful news regarding his wife, Patti Scialfa's, health. Scialfa, who has been a guitarist for the E Street Band and Springsteen's wife for 35 years, is now in remission from multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer she has been battling since 2018.
Springsteen made the announcement at the 47th annual PMC fundraiser on August 1st. He noted that while Scialfa, aged 73, had been living with the disease for over eight years, she is thankfully now in remission. Scialfa, aged 76, had previously disclosed her personal experience with the blood disease in the couple's 2024 documentary, "Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band."
During the event, which benefited the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Springsteen expressed deep gratitude towards the 'healthcare heroes' in attendance. He remarked that, much like millions of families facing cancer, they learned that hope has a tangible presence, embodied by physicians and nurses. He specifically highlighted their unwavering dedication and compassionate care during challenging times.
