The Shubert Organization, the largest theater owner on Broadway, is set to make a major expansion into the London market. In a partnership with Trafalgar Entertainment, the two companies will open a new 1,575-seat Olympia Theatre in 2027 as part of a £1.3 billion redevelopment of the Olympia exhibition venue in West Kensington.
This will mark the first time in 100 years that the Shubert Organization has directly invested in a London theater. The Olympia Theatre is poised to be the largest new theater to open in the city since the National Theatre in 1976. It will feature wider seats, more legroom, and premium amenities like exclusive lounges and private boxes.
The Olympia redevelopment project will also include a 4,000-capacity live music venue, exhibition and conference spaces, hotels, offices, and a coeducational senior school in partnership with the renowned BRIT School. This ambitious project aims to transform the historic Olympia site into a major cultural and entertainment hub in London.
