Broadway's 'Maybe Happy Ending' will see the departure of its original leading stars, Helen J Shen and Darren Criss. Shen's final performance as Clair is scheduled for February 15, with Hannah Kevitt and Claire Kwon taking over the role through May 17. Tony winner Darren Criss will play his last performance as Oliver on May 17.
Meanwhile, the futuristic rom-com, which opened to critical acclaim and strong box office, is set to embark on an extensive North American tour. This tour is slated to launch in the fall of 2026, beginning at Baltimore's Hippodrome Theatre.
The production, directed by Michael Arden with book, music, and lyrics by Will Aronson and Hue Park, garnered significant awards. It secured six 2025 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Actor in a Musical for Criss, and Best Original Score. Additional casting for the Broadway run and tour will be announced.
