In a recent development, pop star Britney Spears, 43, has been in contact with her two sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, since the publication of her ex-husband Kevin Federline's memoir. Federline, 47, shared on the Talk Shop Live show that while he and Spears haven't spoken directly, he knows she has been communicating with their sons, which he fully supports.
Federline revealed that his boys "are trying to find a way to mend a bond between their mom," and he has always wanted them to have a strong connection with their mother, just as he has with his own mom. The memoir, in which Federline details the alleged turbulent relationship between Spears and her sons, was written with the intention of helping the family reconnect.
However, Spears has a different perspective on the situation. In a statement released in mid-October, she called out Federline for "constantly gaslighting" her and defended her relationship with her sons, saying she has "always pleaded and screamed to have a life with [her] boys." Spears also accused Federline of profiting off her through the book, stating, "Trust me, those white lies in that book, they are going straight to the bank and I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here."
Despite the ongoing tensions, Federline remains hopeful that the situation will improve, stating, "I'm really hoping that through all of this, through all this turmoil, that there's light at the end of the tunnel. I see it, but it's gonna be a difficult road and it's gonna take time."
