28 Feb
Summary
- Actress Yerin Ha developed hives and folliculitis after filming a bathtub scene.
- The intimate scene required six hours of filming in a bathtub.
- The actress suspects a combination of baby powder and bath water caused her reaction.

Bridgerton's fourth season star Yerin Ha, who portrays Sophie Baek, has revealed an uncomfortable aftermath from filming an intimate bathtub scene. Ha developed hives and folliculitis across her body following the steamy sequence. She explained that she applied baby powder to help with intimacy wear, which, combined with the bath water, likely caused the skin inflammation.
Co-star Luke Thompson, who plays Benedict Bridgerton, confirmed that he and Ha were in the bathtub for six hours to shoot the scene. However, Thompson did not experience a similar reaction, leading Ha to attribute the folliculitis to her own sensitivity. The skin condition, characterized by inflamed hair follicles, can manifest as itchy, burning bumps and blisters.
The difficult filming experience occurred during the final four episodes of Bridgerton season four, which were released on Thursday. This installment also featured the unexpected death of a significant character, Lord John Stirling, adding a dramatic turn to the season's conclusion.
