Briar Blush's Shocking Collapse on RuPaul's Drag Race

Briar Blush has detailed her alarming on-set collapse during a recent episode of RuPaul's Drag Race season 18. The drag queen fainted mid-critique, leading to immediate medical attention and her eventual sashay away. In an interview, Blush revealed the incident stemmed from undiagnosed walking pneumonia, which worsened into sepsis after filming concluded.

She clarified that her interactions with contestants Athena Dion and Mia Starr, which appeared tense, were actually playful and in good fun. Blush explained a prank involving her pants being pulled down was consensual and part of their camaraderie. The fainting episode, however, was a genuine health crisis.

Blush described feeling increasingly warm before losing consciousness. She learned post-filming that her pneumonia had become severe, leading to a hospitalization for sepsis. While she has since recovered and is in a much better place, she noted potential lasting damage to her left lung due to the prolonged illness.
