Billboard Brasil Crowns Music Industry Leaders

Billboard Brasil has celebrated its inaugural national Power Players awards, recognizing 50 key individuals shaping the global music industry. The ceremony, held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Hotel Unique in São Paulo, honored professionals from diverse sectors. Luiz Oscar Niemeyer, a prominent figure with over 40 years in music entertainment, received the event's top award for his extensive contributions, including his work on the first Rock in Rio and managing Paul McCartney's record-breaking Maracanã Stadium show.

The selection process involved independent editorial curation by Billboard Brasil, emphasizing relevance, recent work, and impact across the music production chain. This year's honorees represent sectors such as labels, streaming platforms, radio, show production, artist management, and the emerging creator economy.
