Brady Bunch Stars' Almost-Romance Revealed

Christopher Knight, known for his role as Peter Brady, has spoken about a potential romance with Eve Plumb, who played his stepsister Jan on The Brady Bunch. Plumb detailed in her recent book, Happiness Included: Jan Brady and Beyond, that the two actors explored a date after the popular sitcom concluded its original run in 1974.

Knight explained that while Plumb was more mature and showed interest early on, he wasn't ready to reciprocate. By the time he felt prepared to acknowledge her attention, the show had ended and their professional lives took separate paths. He described the missed opportunity as akin to 'getting a kiss on two different trains right as they separate.'

Plumb echoed the sentiment, noting that they were already too good of friends by that point to transition into a romantic relationship. She recounted that any attempts at intimacy on their post-show date ended with laughter. While their on-screen siblings Barry Williams and Maureen McCormick did date, Plumb and Knight's relationship remained platonic.

Despite the fleeting possibility of romance, Knight and Plumb have maintained a strong friendship. They still keep in touch, with Plumb mentioning that she and her husband participate in monthly Zoom calls with Knight and his wife, emphasizing their enduring bond.
