Summary

- Showrunner Eric Kripke confirmed the tribute to Jensen Ackles.
- The Boys final episode airs May 20, 2026, on Prime Video.
In anticipation of 'The Boys' final episode, showrunner Eric Kripke has unveiled a heartfelt Easter egg for Jensen Ackles. Soldier Boy's last moments in the series, specifically a line about "fixing up the Impala," serve as a direct tribute to Ackles and their extensive history.
Kripke, who worked with Ackles for 15 seasons on 'Supernatural,' wanted to include a final reference to the beloved show. The specific mention of the 'Impala,' Dean Winchester's famous car, was a collaborative decision between Kripke and writer Anslem Richardson during editing.
This nostalgic callback highlights the strong bond formed between Kripke and Ackles. The highly anticipated final episode of 'The Boys' is scheduled to be released on May 20, 2026, on Prime Video, with viewership expected between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
