Boosie Denies 'Money Grab' Assault Allegations

Rapper Boosie Badazz is currently facing a felony aggravated assault charge stemming from an incident in Houston last month. The rapper is accused of striking a nightclub bouncer, Edward Iglehart, in the head with a glass hookah. This occurred as the bouncer was attempting to clear the club at closing time on May 24.

Boosie has denied all wrongdoing, calling the charges a "money grab" and expressing confidence that the truth will emerge. He was released on $85,000 bond following an initial court hearing on Monday, with his next court date scheduled for September. This legal matter is the latest for the artist, who recently resolved a federal gun possession case with a plea deal last year.

The altercation reportedly began when the bouncer refused entry to the bathroom for Boosie's niece after the club had closed. Following a physical exchange between the niece and the bouncer, police allege Boosie attacked Iglehart. The bouncer sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment and eight stitches.
