Bollywood's Surprise Hit 'Saiyaara' Conquers North America

In a surprising turn of events, the romantic drama 'Saiyaara' starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda has emerged as a massive success at the North American box office. The film, which marked the Bollywood debuts of its lead actors, has concluded its run in the overseas market, narrowly missing the record set by Vicky Kaushal's 'Chhaava'.

'Saiyaara' accumulated lifetime earnings of $6.22 million in North America, just $190,000 shy of 'Chhaava's $6.41 million. Despite falling short of the top spot, the film has outperformed other major Bollywood releases of 2025, including Salman Khan's 'Sikandar' and Akshay Kumar's 'Housefull 5'.

Directed by Mohit Suri, 'Saiyaara' has also proven to be a massive hit in the domestic Indian market, becoming the highest-grossing Bollywood romantic film of all time. The movie's success is a testament to the growing appeal of fresh talent and unconventional narratives in the Indian film industry.
